U13 All County Competition: Last Thursday seen our U13 combine with St. Colmcille’s to form a Regional Unit called North Longford to take part in an all county 15 a side competition. In our first game we played Longford Slashers and the fact that our panel had not played together before meant we were a little rusty but as the game went on we got going a little but it wasn’t enough to get the win. After a break we played St. Patricks Óg who had only just lost to Slashers by 2 points and we had a convincing win that bodes well for the remainder of the competition. This is a really good competition as it allows our players to play 15 a side football at a higher level while still being competitive so hopefully this will see our players develop further in the weeks ahead. See below for this weeks fixtures.   Thursday, 21st May 2015. U13 Longford Competition (North Longford = St. Colmcille’s, St. Francis), Venue: Allen Park: Top Pitch: North Longford V Mid Longford 7:30pm. Regardless of wheather our team wins or looses, the will be a follow up game for each category at 8:20pm.

This makes up phase 1 of our U12 season and phase 2 will kick in with just the Longford Clubs as we compete in the Longford League which will conclude in early October. Dates for all the rounds of the Longford Leitrim League are on the Master Fixtures list with round 1 games taking place on Tuesday 9th of June and fixtures are with the club secretaries.
