The draw for the fully restored Massey Ferguson 35 Tractor will take place this Saturday night 22nd of October 2011 at a function in the Breffni Arms Hotel, Arva. Music on the night will be provided by Nite Fever. Admission is FREE. As this is the final few days of ticket sales, the club is requesting as much help as possible. If you are available to help out with ticket sales please contact Joe Murphy at 0871340132. A referee's beginner's course will take place over three nights, Tues 1st Nov, Tuesday 8th Nov and Tuesday 15th Nov 2011. There is a shortage of referees to officiate our games at present and the County Board are appealing to clubs to send in candidates to take this course. Dromard haven't had any referee representative for the past four seasons. Anybody interested in attending please contact the club executive. On Saturday last we played Mullinalaghta in the final of their Packie Rogers tournament. The Laurels was the venue and the rain fell for the entire game. On Sunday our seniors travelled to Devine Park to play Mostrim in the Leader Cup quarter final replay. Weather conditions were dry and breezy. We had this breeze on our backs in the first half. The half time score was Dromard 0-05 Mostrim 0-01. Early in the second half our opponents had drawn level. It was our turn to have a period of dominance which yielded three points, while Mostrim pulled a couple back closing the scoring with a point from play. Full time score Dromard 0-09 Mostrim 0-07.
