On Saturday last our seniors played Clonguish in round 3 of division 1 in Pairc na Gael. The evening was dry with a slight breeze that favoured the visitors in the opening half. We trailed by 3pts to nil before we got our first score on the board - a Cían Mimnagh point from a free. This was followed by a Diarmuid Masterson point from play. Our opponents landed a further 3 points from play before Declan Mimnagh found the net after a good build up.

Points were exchanged before a second Declan Mimnagh goal tied up the game. A pointed free left us ahead at half time Dromard 2-04 Clonguish 0-09. The men in green had the better of the opening stages of the second half scoring the opening 3 points of the second half to take the lead. We came back to level but the closing stages were hard fought but it was the visitors who landed late points to seal the victory.
