Sympathy: Dromard GAA would like to extend its sympathy to the family of Michael Gormley, Corinagh, Moyne and formerly of Pulladoey, Aughnacliffe and Manchester, who passed away at the weekend.

National Football League: Commiserations to the Longford senior footballers and the Dromard representatives on the defeat to Clare on Sunday last. Best of luck to all involved in the next Sunday’s vital game at home to Westmeath.

Reserve League 1: Dromard took on Clonguish on Friday night last in the third game of Reserve League 1 and suffered a narrow defeat on a scoreline of Domard 0-6 Clonguish 0-8. On a very blustery evening, it was the home team who handled the difficult playing conditions better despite a very determined Dromard effort. Dromard have a bye in the next round of games in this competition to be played this coming weekend.

Strictly Come Dancing: Tickets are now on sale for Dromard GAA’s big fundraiser for 2016 which takes place on Friday 29th April in the Slieve Russell Hotel. The organising committee is working hard behind the scenes, with the dancers now confirmed. Please put the date in your diary and purchase your tickets from any member of the club executive or local outlets.

Golden Jubilee Celebration: CLG Coiste Chontae Longfort are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Longford winning the National Football League in 1966. The night will also honour our one and only Leinster Senior Football Championship success of 1968. It takes place on Saturday, 16th April next in The Longford Arms Hotel. Proceedings will commence at 7.30pm with a wine reception followed by dinner. Tickets are available from the GAA Offices at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
