On Saturday last we played Colmcille in the last round of the senior league in Pairc na Gael.
Conditions were dry and suitable for football and the game was only a few minutes old when Declan Mimnagh found the net with a delicate lob over the out rushing Colmcille goalkeeper. Colmcille scored the next four points without reply (3 play, 1 free) to move ahead. Dromard responded with 3 points on the trot coming from Ronan McEntire and Gary Maguire efforts from play and a Declan Mimnagh pointed free. The visitors landed the last score of the half when John Paul Reilly scored from play to leave the half time score Dromard 1-03 Colmcille 0-05. Colmcille dominated matters on the turnover kicking the opening 2 points of the half to regain the lead. Dromard responded well with John Sheridan pushing forward to land a fine point followed by a Gary Maguire free before Declan Mimnagh goaled for the second time to open up a 4 pt lead.
