An Emmet Masterson point from play opened the game's scoring. Clonguish followed up with a pair of points from play and a converted free. A long range Cían Mimnagh point from play reduced the margin. The teams scored point for point with Francis McGee closing the scoring for the half with a point from play. The half time scores were Dromard 0-04 Clonguish 0-06. The second half started with Cían Mimnagh finishing the ball to the back of the net following a good move. Clonguish responded well scoring 1-02 to regain the lead. We also extend our sympathy to the McKeon family Crott, on the death of their uncle Michael McCarthy (Rosduff) who died recently in London. The Dromard 4 Schools Reunion 2013 committee together with the Dromard GAA committee would like to say a big thank you to so many people in the local community who worked so hard over the last week end to make the local Gathering event such a magnificent success. Sincere thanks also to everyone who turned out in huge numbers on the Friday and Saturday nights and again on Sunday afternoon to support the events. It made all the hard work by those involved so worthwhile. The positive feedback that we have been getting indicates that the weekend was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. We are delighted to have been able to afford the opportunity to people to meet up with family and friends that they may not have met for some time which of course is what 'The Gathering 2013' objective is all about. Míle buíochas le gach éinne. The commemorative book 'Lean ar Aghaidh…. Dromard - Memories of Childhood & School Days' sold extremely well over the weekend and we are delighted to say that the feedback for this has also been very positive. Remaining copies of the book will of course be on sale in the local shops for those who have not had an opportunity to buy one.
