Instructors have made a commitment to the club and it would be unfair on them not to communicate back our intentions within a reasonable timescale. Dependent on firm commitments from you in sufficient numbers, we may be in a position to offer a minimum of two classes at a cost of €80 for the eight week period. On Sunday last our seniors were in championship action when they played Colmcille in Pearse Park.  Heavy showers earlier left underfoot and handling conditions slippery.  We got off to a good start with points from play coming James Martin and Bernard Sheridan.  This turned out to be our only scores of the half with Colmcille scoring the next 3 pts to leave the score at half time Dromard 0-2 Colmcille 0-3.  A pointed free and point from play edged Colmcille into a 3 point lead.   We dug deep and a brace of points from Cían Mimnagh and a Francis McGee effort tied up the game as the game drew to a close.  Tension was now very high when Emmet Masterson made a surging run through the opposition defence and taking on the shooting responsibility his resultant kick split the posts to edge us ahead.  Colmcille had a couple of late attacks and drew a foul which was converted.  The final whistle sounded on the full time score line of Dromard 0-6 Colmcille 0-6 with both sides having to do it all again on Sunday next in Pearse Park at 5.30pm.  Team and scorers; Damien Sheridan, Peadar Faughnan, Cathal Conefrey, David Pettit, John Sheridan, Diarmuid Masterson, Kevin Donohoe, Noel Reynolds, Bernard Sheridan (0-1), Peter Reynolds, Ronan Mc Entire, Declan Mimnagh, James Martin (0-1), Francis Mc Gee (0-1), Cían Mimnagh (0-2).  Subs used.  Peter Masterson, Emmet Masterson (0-1) and Padraig McNerney.  Other subs on the day were Gavin McNerney, Paul Mc Gee, Conor Duffy, Enda Mc Entire, James Mimnagh, Gary Maguire, Micheal Reilly, Conor Kiernan and Kieran Mc Stay. Congratulations to former player Sean Byrne who tied the knot on Saturday last when he wedded Joanne Kavanagh from Kilmore in Co. Roscommon. Sincere sympathies to Brian and Fiona Reilly on the passing of Fiona’s father.  Condolences also to the Reilly family Moyne on the recent bereavement. Lotto results for Monday 3rd September 2012.
