The senior club AGM is due to take place in the next couple of weeks (date to be confirmed) and nomination papers will be available shortly. Anyone who would like to play a role in either managing teams or in the various officer positions to help with the running of the club for the coming year please make themselves known to one of the following; Joe Murphy, Kevin Hourican, Pat Jones or Anthony Maguire. Hard luck to the Longford senior team who were defeated by Limerick at the weekend. The Wellathon committee wish remind everyone that the weekly walks from the clubhouse takes place each Wednesday and Saturday morning starting at 10am. Additionally on a Saturday morning anyone interested in running is welcome to take part in the interval running sessions taking place at the same time in the club grounds under the remit of the Dromard sub-club of Longford Athletics Club. Tickets for the National GAA Club Draw have been distributed to all our senior players in the last couple of weeks and we would appeal for your support for this draw. There are some fabulous prizes on offer including tickets to the 2014 International Rules Series in Australia, various packages for Corporate Boxes (with accommodation) on All Ireland Final days in Croke Park, Premium concert tickets in Croke Park in 2014, trip to New York for St. Patrick’s Day and many more. We would ask any players who have not already returned their sold tickets and money to do so straight away. Lotto results for Monday 27th January 2014. The numbers drawn were 2, 9, 12 & 16. There was no jackpot winner. The winners of the draw were Gerry Kinlan, Joe Tierney, Sean Farrell and the Bleakley children Moyne. The seller's prize was won by Eamonn Kiernan.
