A reminder that that the use of mouth guards will be compulsory for adult players for the incoming football season. Congratulations to St. Columba’s Mullinalaghta on winning the under 21 B title on Saturday last.  Commiserations to Clonguish who were gallant losers on the day.  Best wishes to our neighbours Arva who, amalgamated with Killeshandra will contest the Cavan under 21 Division 2 final next weekend. Best wishes to John Duffy who is going for election for the position of vice chair in the forthcoming Longford county board convention. The club would like to sincerely thank our outgoing senior team manager Ciaran Fox for his efforts over the past two years.  We were very lucky to have had a coach of his abilities guiding us. All in the club wish Ciaran the very best in his future footballing and personal life.  We would also like to thank Ollie Fay for his efforts in team preparation over the last two seasons.  As the year draws to a close the club would like to thank players, mentors and club officials for their efforts over the past season. The club would like to offer our condolences to the family of the former Dromard player Michael Donohoe late of Legga who died in Birmingham over the weekend. The Donohoe family have made a major contribution to our club down through the years. We would also like to extend our sympathy to the McKenna family, Ballinamuck and to the Fr. Manning Gaels club on the untimely passing of Terry McKenna last week. Terry’s involvement in GAA and so many other community organisations made him well known and respected by many in our own parish. Lotto results for Monday 2nd December 2013. Numbers drawn 1, 4, 26 and 30. There was no jackpot winner. The winners of the draw were Marian Maguire, Michael Masterson, Vincent Doyle (Ballinamuck) and Padraig Brady. The seller’s prize was won by Damian Sheridan.
